Course Summary

Are you a doctor, dentist or other healthcare professional seeking to develop your role as a teacher, trainer, supervisor or mentor? This programme builds your confidence and competence and develops your research skills. Available to study full-time over one year, or part-time over three years, you will be supported in applying new knowledge and skills to your current or future professional role.

Clinical education is well established at the University of Plymouth’s Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. Supported by experienced tutors via webinars, individual and group tutorials and interactive online materials, you will be equipped with the skills to plan and conduct your dissertation, and be primed to confidently transfer your knowledge into your current or future professional role. The MClinEd Clinical Education is also available as a face-to-face programme delivered in Plymouth.

Modules

This module is the dissertation associated with the Masters programme and is designed to enable students to produce a project dissertation under supervision, and to demonstrate project design, development, evaluation and synthesis skills.

Normally a recognised first degree or equivalent will be required. Experience acquired through work or other means that enables staff responsible for admissions to be confident of your ability to succeed in the programme may also be considered, in line with QAA guidance.
