Our research reflects the breadth of our academic expertise, spanning both doctrinal and socio-legal work. Themes include Theory; Family, Gender and Sexuality; Public Policy; Legal History; Property, Transactions and Markets; Commercial Law and Financial Regulation. Reflecting the breadth of our academic expertise, we offer PhD supervision – spanning both doctrinal and socio-legal work – across a number of research groups. Global Law at Reading (GLAR), Centre for Commercial Law and Financial Regulation (CCLFR), Law, Justice and Society (LJS). All PhD students will be associated with at least one grouping and participate in research seminars and other events organised by them.
