This practice-related course will help you develop the knowledge, skills and qualities to be an effective educational leader.

What is becoming increasingly apparent is the correlation between the highly skilled health and social care workforce that has the right skills, behaviours and education, and the delivery of excellent health and social care and an ability to transform services. There is clear recognition of how the educated workforce can effectively contribute towards the transformation of services and support the implementation of health and social care reform.

This course is aimed at all professionals including allied health professionals, health care scientists, nurses, midwives, doctors, and social workers who want to develop the knowledge, skills, qualities and behaviours to be effective leaders of health and social care education. The course combines education, leadership and service improvement and reform.

If you study with us, fees for students from the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man studying a full-time undergraduate degree are currently £9,250 per year for the first year of study.

For students starting in 2024-25, our full-time courses cost from £13,750 to £20,340 depending on the course and level of study.

Entry requirements

An equivalent Bachelor’s degree normally with a 2:2 honours or professional qualification (if applicable) from the UK or elsewhere. We welcome applications from students who may not have formal/ traditional entry criteria but who have relevant experience or the ability to pursue the course successfully.
