This Master of Research represents a unique opportunity for students to conduct a substantial research project in the area of Speech & Language Sciences undertaken over one year. Students will gain important research skills by taking at least one 20-credit research training class from the following:C8939 - Quantitative Research Methods in PsychologyC8990 - Research Methods in Clinical Health PsychologyThis will prepare them well for their dissertation, which represents a significant component of the course. The MRes is suitable for recent graduates, who wish to advance their research skills in the field as well as candidates, who wish to consider subsequent PhD studies. MRes students will be supported by two supervisors throughout their studies.Research areasOur research focuses on all aspects of diagnosis and treatment of people with communication problems. We also have a strong interest in understanding typical characteristics of speech and language across the lifespan.
