Course structureThis course can be studied full-time over one year. You’ll study four modules (three core and one optional) with a significant piece of independent dissertation work or a live consultancy project. Compared to an undergraduate course, you'll find that this master's degree requires a higher level of independent reading and research. A range of teaching and learning methods including lectures, seminars, and group work will be used to encourage you to develop intellectual and cognitive skills. All methods will employ, to some extent, the features like didactic exposition, interactive sessions, research, and directed private study.Case study-based learning is employed throughout the course and is intended to enable you to develop, inter alia, the ability to identify the issues in need of research, apply subject specific knowledge to a realistic and/or practical context, make critical judgements of the merits of a particular argument and present and make reasoned choices between alternative solutions. The case studies may take the form of real cases or issues in debate at any given moment in time or may be hypothetical problems which are reflective of realistic problems.
