Course info

The rapid development and distribution of digital media technologies in so many aspects of everyday life raises new research questions. Specialist methods and approaches are needed to understand the transformations in everyday life and social worlds. Exploring these questions in your PhD, you’ll work with expert faculty guiding and supervising you throughout your research project. You have the opportunity to participate in the Sussex Humanities Lab, which is dedicated to developing and expanding interdisciplinary research at the cutting edge of digital humanities and digital media. We welcome research proposals in areas such as: critical theory technology digital humanities computational media the political economy of computation software and algorithm studies philosophy of media. Projects can be co-supervised by faculty in another school as appropriate.
