Investigate the workings of the nervous system and neurological disorders. Develop practical skills using a range of industry-standard techniques. We aim to understand the nervous system and various neurological disorders. You’ll be guided and supervised through your research project by experts in fields such as: the senses synaptic physiology the molecular and cellular mechanisms of learning and memory. You’ll be based in the Neuroscience Centre, using a range of techniques from molecular biology to electrophysiology and multiphoton microscopy. For a PhD, your research work makes a substantial original contribution to knowledge or understanding in your chosen field.
