Law Research Our research ethos is in undertaking research which aims to make a real impact on peoples’ lives by using law as a catalyst for positive change. As a team, we have expertise in and undertake research which is socio-legal and empirical in nature (law in action) and we welcome applications which embrace these approaches as well as doctrinal research. Many of our staff undertake research on aspects of Scots law. However, much of our current research relates to questions of rights in various contexts covering Scotland, UK and wider international legal frameworks.
