What you will learn
This MSc provides significant technical content which will develop students’ skills in the development of intelligent systems.
In recent years, major organisations have made significant investments into data warehousing and data mining technologies which are now at the forefront of business intelligence.
Artificial intelligence is another huge growth area - predicting future direction in many fields including business, health and transport to name a few.
You will learn to use databases and analytical tools to identify trends, patterns and correlations in data. You will also learn about the application of artificial intelligence and machine learning to allow deep analysis of large datasets.
Career opportunities
Students on this programme develop a broad range of technical skills and will study a number of topics related to information systems.
The programme covers the three themes of Data Management, User Experience and Web Technologies in the computing sector.
A significant emphasis is placed on data management and the implementation of applications for manipulating information including both database systems and web applications. Additionally, graduates would be able to lead teams and manage projects.
