There is an urgent need to improve healthcare services and reduce social disparities in health nationally and globally. As digital technologies continue to transform the healthcare sector, our Digital Health and Cyberpsychology MSc will prepare students for careers in this rapidly evolving field. Taught entirely online, this course offers a unique opportunity to explore digital health alongside cyberpsychology, combining cutting-edge knowledge and practical experience. Topics include the equitable and fair applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medicine, digital technologies used to prevent illness and improve health in underserved and disadvantaged communities, and research methods for the evaluation of eHealth and mHealth solutions for people from minoritised or marginalised social groups. You’ll gain a deep understanding of the ethical and social implications of digital health, in line with national standards and frameworks, and explore the psychological aspects of technology use to improve patient outcomes and support healthy behaviours. You'll discover how to integrate psychological and behavioural sciences into technology design and cultivate expertise as independent researchers and evaluators of digital health interventions. This course will equip you with the skills needed to design and implement evidence-based medical interventions and services using cutting-edge digital health technologies, such as artificial intelligence and virtual reality, to enhance the health outcomes of people from underserved communities.
