Our research explores a wide range of topics including comparative political institutions and policies, political behaviour, democratisation processes, political parties, state design, the delivery of public services and regulation. One of our research strengths lies in studying these issues across several countries, regime types and policy sectors. We address the most pressing contemporary questions in the discipline today including environmental policy and climate change; welfare policy and universal basic income; populism and the rise of the political far right; the political consequences of globalisation and decentralisation and central aspects of British and EU politics and policymaking.
