Course info

We have conducted ground-breaking research on short-term and long-term memory for many years. Our research is investigating the role of sleep in memory and vocabulary consolidation, how subtle aspects of memory impairment can be used in the early detection of dementia and the role of behavioural control in reducing offending in prison populations.By combining behavioural approaches with cognitive neuroscience techniques, we have made progress in understanding how cognitive control relates to ‘mind-wandering', and our research has potential for significant impact.
