MAs and MScs generally follow the structure of core modules and elective modules which are supported by a final project or dissertation. Some courses can be tailored to suit your particular learning style. A postgraduate diploma is similar to a master’s degree, but usually does not include a final project or dissertation. A postgraduate certificate usually takes less time to complete.
At DMU, we have an ambitious Research Strategy which aims to make research central to our mission as a university. As a university committed to the public good, we have a track record of research that impacts society and makes a real difference to people’s lives through improvements to health and well-being, infrastructure, creativity, economic growth, business and civil society.
As the United Nations' (UN) designated Global Hub for Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 16 - the only UK university to be designated as such - we have a commitment to address the UN SDGs in our research, teaching and enterprise activity.
DMU has a history of providing distance learning qualifications within a range of programmes to choose from. Our diverse community consists of students located in over 85 countries. We are continuing to develop more programmes. Distance Learning is a flexible way to study for a qualification. It allows you to fit your learning in around your lifestyle and other commitments, but still achieve the same qualifications as you would by doing traditional campus-based study. You can study at your own pace and in a place that’s convenient for you, whether it’s at home, on your commute, where you work or anywhere else you feel inspired. You’ll have access to an extensive range of online learning materials, as well as benefit from academic support.
Get in touch, if you're not sure that you have the right experience or qualifications.
