The Student Support team ensures all students enjoy a rewarding experience and achieve their full potential. Student support services are based in Catalyst and can help with a variety of issues students may encounter during their studies.
The Campus Life and Transitions teams are there to help students settle in to university life and stay on track during their time studying, while the Wellbeing team offer support with any physical and mental health issues students have, offering practical and emotional support through private counselling, group workshops, and self-help resources.
The Accommodation team are on hand to help students deal with any questions or issues they have with their living arrangements, whether they are on or off-campus. The Disability team are there to help students with any physical or learning disabilities, offering study skills support and organising any special adaptations that are required.
There are also dedicated teams to assist students with financial issues and childcare, and there’s also a chaplaincy service available for students of all faiths and none.
Every effort is made to offer the right support depending on individual needs. This level of commitment has led students to rate Edge Hill’s student support service best in the North West and in the UK Top 10 (WUSCA, 2020).
