MRes, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate Certificate Animal Behaviour and Welfare

Overall Rating

Overall, the course is a lot of fun and has been a great experience, although a few speed bumps along the way! The teaching is good quality and course content very interesting. Communication with staff has been tricky at times, although they have always listened to feedback and this will hopefully improve in the future. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in a career in Animal Behaviour and/or Welfare.

Student Union

The SU seems to be very proactive and involved in uni life; they have helped with difficulties some of us have had during our time at the uni

Clubs and Societies

There seems to always be a lot on, however I'm not taking part in anything at the moment

Uni Facilities

I'm only around for teaching at the weekend- at weekends there is plenty of parking, the cafe is open and uni facilities are generally open. So far everything has been great!

Course and Lecturers

Teaching for the Masters course is pretty much only at the weekends, which makes it easy to fit in work/life.
However, only being around at the weekend means that communication with uni staff/lecturers can sometimes be a bit hit and miss

City Life

Hartpury uni is very close (approx 10 min drive) to Gloucester- there is lots to do and plenty of places to stay

Job Prospects

There is a careers centre and careers resources online- I have not personally used these

Student Support

My tutor and lecturers have generally been very supportive. I haven't used many of the other services, although IT support has been variable
