KEELE UNIVERSITY
Overall Rating

I have just started, so this should be taken with a grain of salt. Also, I am not sure if this is Keele University policy or UK immigration policy.
As a postgraduate, I do not yet know if I have office space. I have no teaching obligations. I go to the university once a week but have very few things to do there that I specifically cannot do from home. Notwithstanding, I am supposed to live within a 1h30m door-to-door from the university. I do live within this radius, but feel restricted for no necessary reason. I would like to feel free to consider living somewhere else in the UK, leaving the less convenient commute to my own responsibility. I am fully aware that I agreed to this condition when signing off on my CAS terms and conditions, but it feels overly restrictive. In fact, it seems to contradict Article 13, 1. of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights of the UN: "Everyone has the right to freedom of movement and residence within the borders of each state."
