Course Details

We have designed this online course to meet the learning needs of managers and professionals working in the events industry. It is also suitable if you have a first degree in an unrelated subject and want to specialise in events management. You will advance your expertise in the strategic planning and management of large and complex events. Your knowledge will be honed by studying the management of worldwide events, ensuring you will be able to address the many industry changes and difficult challenges facing today's events managers. Our Virtual Learning Environment will provide access to all the support and resources you will need, so you will be able to study at your own pace and from wherever you are in the world. To help you fit your studies around work and personal commitments, you will study one module each semester. Modules are taught on a rolling basis, with new and existing students learning together and from each other, sharing their experience and knowledge via our Virtual Learning Environment. In this module you gain a critical understanding of the way in which human resources are managed internationally. You will develop an awareness of the relationship between corporate strategies and human resource strategies and policies in an international context.

Entry requirements

Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment. All applications should be supported by a reference, either academic or professional.
