Course Summary


Programme aims to:

develop knowledge of and competencies in audio and AV production, technologies, tools and processes to a level commensurate with requirements at the forefront of professional practice, while providing space to explore these systematically, critically, creatively and in the context of the evolving nature of professional practice;

provide students with a comprehensive understanding of, and pathways to, successful and entrepreneurial careers in production, working individually, collaboratively and in the context of larger organisations, including leadership roles, along with the independent learning ability required for continuous professional and creative development;

enable, and provide opportunities for producers to use a comprehensive body of theory and research and a developing critical awareness, to inform the preparation and execution of, and reflection upon, work(s) of significant scale, originality and distinctiveness; to develop as self-aware, reflexive and self-critical practitioners.

Entry requirements

Students entry via second class honours degree in a music or closely related discipline from a UK awarding body, or a College-recognised equivalent international qualification or equivalent professional experience; English language competency equivalent to CEFR Level C1 (7.0 overall, 6.5 in each category) if from a non majority English language speaking country;
