Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at London Metropolitan University

On the topic of the library, some students have reported an ongoing issue with printing. This is no doubt a difficult issue in terms of the library’s budget, as the printer appears to develop issues at least once a week, and the university has appointed an IT person to fix these issues and upgrade the system. However, the main issue appears to be that the machine is too old, and no longer fit for purpose.

Students have noted a limitation in terms of the books in the library: some students have reported that there is only a very limited book selection in the library, and other students have raised this issue previously.

-I was therefore just wondering whether the university has a yearly plan to purchase new books for students, as other universities seem more readily able to upgrade their library content.

Moving on to the PhD teaching aspects, there are few concerns and little feedback about the course arrangements, though some positive feedback is coming in from newly graduated PhD students. A few PhD students would appreciate more information about PhD conferences and teaching opportunities from the university, however, as new PhD students may have no idea how to find these activities and opportunities otherwise. This is the only concern in this area. read full review

Hello, I hope you are well.
I completed my bachelor's and master's degrees in my country, and here I am re-studying in the master's degree. One of the strengths of this university is the wonderful professors I have with them, and I am satisfied. The second strength of this university is that they answer your questions very quickly, and this was very valuable to me. For example, I had questions about depositing money, getting the CAS number, a UK Visa, etc., and the university immediately answered my emails.
The only thing is that I'm a student job seeker, and I'm still unsuccessful. I don't know where to start. read full review

The transition from India to a new study pattern and online format seems like a significant change. The emphasis on assignments over exams and the support from teachers in understanding the material must be quite beneficial.

The vibrant and spacious library, along with helpful career guidance, adds a valuable dimension to your academic journey. It's heartening to know that the teachers are not only knowledgeable but also friendly and supportive.

The cultural shift is also evident in the social aspects, such as eagerly waiting to meet friends and enjoying favourite meals like veg noodles in the college canteen. Special moments like receiving free ice cream in a new semester must make the university experience even more memorable.

While it's important to highlight the positive aspects, you might consider discussing potential areas for improvement. This could include suggestions for enhancing the online learning experience or addressing any challenges international students might face in adapting to a new educational system. Constructive feedback can contribute to the continuous improvement of the university environment.

I love my Uni.
