Do you hold a degree in maths or a related area? Are you looking to begin a career in teaching with a maths/numeracy specialism? If so, this PGCE in Maths and Numeracy will get you to where you want to be. The course has a real practical focus and you will undertake a placement where you will teach maths at two different levels to develop your teaching practice.
You will be a problem solver, a logical thinker, patient and want to work with those who find maths challenging.
This course is aimed at those who wish to study on a full-time basis.
Once you complete this course you will be eligible to apply for QTLS which has parity of esteem with QTS.

You must hold an Honours Degree undertake this course and be able to work academically at Level 6. Access to a placement setting to undertake at least 100 hours of teaching practice. The College can offer support with placements. Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and mathematics. These qualifications are required to seek QTLS after successful completion of the course. Successful completion of interview and assessment tasks.
