Course Summary

This industry accredited Transport Planning and Engineering MSc is designed for both practising professionals and new graduates. You will develop and apply advanced skills and understanding to the planning, management and operation of transport systems.

Along with developing essential skills and understanding of the planning, management and operation of transport systems, we aim to help you establish a responsible attitude towards the needs of society, the environment and transport safety considerations. We will teach you core skills in:

This module aims to provide the techniques to analyse data and prepare programmes to reduce accidents by providing a better human/vehicle/road environment. This module also develops understanding of policy and practice in the key areas of road safety management, accident analysis and prevention and road safety audit techniques.

Entry requirements

A 2:2 honours degree, or international equivalent, in: any engineering or science subject geography; town planning; maths. We will also consider your application on an individual basis if you have a qualification in a different subject to those listed above, a lower or non-standard qualification or significant, relevant industry experience.
