Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at Norwich University of the Arts

The best thing about studying here is that it is not that big of an institution (especially the PhD program) so the sense of community is great as well as the access to different departments.

I'd say the worst things often come as the other side of that coin, as things can sometimes be a bit confusing as we integrate with other parts of the Uni. read full review
I love the university buildings which looks creative and modern, and also appreciate that it provide facility, support, and workshop/events for student who study different fields and levels to join and learn. However, the course is also heavy since it focus on practical skills. By the way, its focus could help improving student's skills to ready prepare for the next step! read full review
No support or access to facilities for MA students. I do not recommend an MA course at this university read full review

The students are what makes this place a great environment to learn and grow. What’s lacking is the mental health and mentorship support. Also being forced to use different rooms in different buildings for the same class to make up for the rent is weird. read full review

Car parking is expensive in Norwich but there’s a lot to do here. We have great coasts nearby and the buses are good. The technical staff are the best they are knowledgeable and helpful without directing work. As a mature student I have recommended NUA to several people - you don’t feel out of place at all. Student support is really good and you can often book a 1:1 on the same day if you need to speak to someone .
Teaching is a mix of online and in person . Tutorials could be a little longer in length but they are thorough and you are always encouraged to do you best work read full review
