NTU offers a great variety of modules where you can fully explore your passion. NTU gets you out of your comfort zone and gives you a chance to speak and convey your feeling/thoughts in front of everyone. This is a place where students from all over the world gather to study, while doing so you can explore different cultures and can form long-lasting friendships.
Talking about my favorite university experience, as part of our MSc management module, UNI took us on a one-day tour to a location named Thornbridge where we participated in a variety of skill-building exercises like team bonding games and leadership exercises. We gained knowledge of business-related skills while participating in these activities, including how to be a team player, how to handle stress, and most importantly, the advantages of working in a team because you don't have to do everything yourself and can rely on your teammates. The best part of Thornbridge would have to be the "abseil" I undertook, which required us to drop from the bridge using a rope and safety equipment that was provided. Not only did I overcome my fear of heights that day, but I also made some really great friends.
I haven't had a particularly bad experience at university, but if I had to choose one, it would be COLD. I basically came from the western portion of India, where it is generally pleasant and sunny. The biggest challenge I encountered when moving to Nottingham was the cold, for which I was unprepared. But as time goes on, you become acclimated to the cold and start to embrace it.
NTU is a great place to study and has a diversity of students by which you don't feel left alone. When you visit the NTSU student union, there are many possibilities and events you may participate in, including the chance to start your own community or join one already there. The only thing you need to do is enroll; NTU will take care of the rest if you are willing to venture outside your comfort zone.
