Overview

Study advanced level health or social care management and leadership with our MSc in Management in Health and Social Care.

We focus on developing your understanding and leadership of the complex and changing health and care environment. You will gain knowledge and perspective of the wider care system that can help further your managerial career.

You will learn to bring about tangible results in the delivery of care. And develop the skills you will need for leading innovation, collaboration and partnerships. You will learn to manage effectively and lead with confidence while gaining:

strategic insight
business acumen
a sound understanding of operational delivery and leading systems change.

We have close links with practice areas across a diverse range of health and social care settings within the UK and through our Erasmus programme. So you will be able to explore different approaches to the delivery and management of care. And gain new insight into the global issues, challenges and opportunities within the sector.

The Dissertation enables you to develop a more specialised and deeper understanding of management in your sector. Alongside the core modules there is also choice of an optional module allowing you to tailor your study to your specific interests and learning needs.

Entry requirements

You must have: a UK BSc/BA degree, or equivalent learning experience, from a recognised international institution, or a professional qualification applicable to health or social care evidence of recent study (within last five years) at degree or equivalent level 6 months' experience as a student, employee or volunteer within the health/social care sector (European or International; public, private or voluntary). If you do not hold a UK BSc/BA degree or equivalent overseas degree from a recognised institution, you should contact the Programme Administrator for further information.
