There are six universities in the UK which offer audiology master’s degrees and there are 14 courses to choose from among those institutions, highlighting the various options for specialisation within the subject. Entry requirements typically include a relevant undergraduate degree in a relevant scientific subject area. Master’s courses are typically one year full-time or two years part-time study.
An audiology masters programme offers a combination of theoretical study and practical work. Students cover topics such as auditory anatomy, hearing assessment and rehabilitation strategies, study through lectures, workshops and guided tutorials, and take part in clinical placements and practical learning experiences.
