About Postgraduate Product Management

Product management is a versatile and highly organisational field, which oversees each aspect of a product’s life cycle, from research and development to marketing and pricing. Product managers work with the product and its users primarilyand engage with market analysis, user experience design and distribution strategies.

The MSc is an advanced degree course, which teaches skills and strategies to become a successful product designer in a digital business environment. Entry requirements to an MSc course include holding an undergraduate degree in a relevant field. The course is a year in duration and can also be studied on a part-time basis, taking two years to complete.

There are 15 universities in the UK offering product management MSc courses and there are 22 courses to choose from, with some variance in the curriculum to account for specialisms such as product management with brand design, strategic marketing or product design.
