Risk management is a technical and data-driven subject and entry requirements for a master’s course usually include a relevant undergraduate degree in business, finance or a related STEM subject area. There are more than 60 master’s degrees available in the UK and these are typically studied over the course of one year full-time or two years part-time.
Students study risk assessment methodologies, statistical modelling, financial risk management and regulatory compliance, learning to use a variety of technologies and digital tools to make predictions and calculate uncertainties which form the basis for short and long-term strategy building.
