The University of Huddersfield is a growing research institution located in the north of England. It’s a university known for the quality of its teaching, with one of the highest numbers of National Teaching Fellowships of any university in the country and various teaching accolades.
Huddersfield recently placed 70th in the UK according to the 2024 Complete University Guide league table. It’s made up of six distinct academic schools, which are:

Students applying for a postgraduate programme at the University of Huddersfield will need to meet the stated entry requirements for their chosen course. In some cases, entry requirements relating to previous professional experience or English language ability may apply, in addition to academic criteria.
For example, students applying to the MSc in Accounting and Finance (Professional Practice) will need to show achievement of a 2:1 grade or higher undergraduate honours degree in a subject such as accounting, finance, business, management, economics or a quantitative science discipline. Equivalent professional qualifications or experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Applicants for the MA in Advanced Architectural Design will need a 2:2 grade or higher undergraduate honours degree in a relevant discipline. Equivalent professional qualifications are also considered, along with other qualifications or professional experience. A portfolio of work may be required for some applicants, particularly for international students.

The Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship scheme, which offers a full waiver of tuition fees for students undertaking a research degree at Huddersfield. They will need to demonstrate strong academic achievement through grades, or a recommendation, and have graduated from the university in the past three years.
