I have had the best time of my life. I have made friends that i am going to keep for a life time. I have built my skills and found my creative path.I had many paths i could have chosen and i am very happy i chose the Plymouth Collage of Art path. You only really get one shot at it. So make the most of it and enjoy your self. I know i did and have come out of it feeling great.
The students union has come on leaps and bounds with more time and investment going into it all of the time.It is a great place to meet new people and to go for advice when you do not think your lecture could help.A friendly environment that holds lots of activities and socials for all.
The best they could be.They encorage you to explore and try as many of the facilities as you can. They are free to use (minus materials) and they are full of staff willing to help.Want to learn something new and think it will benefit you just get inducted and you are away. You learn things you never would have thought you would learn.New skills and prospects are opened up with the fantastic facilities at Plymouth College of Art.
They are an open platform designed to open up debate and conversations about the arts that you would not normally get. A cross subject interaction with thinkers across all disciplines open your eyes up to new ways of thinking that help shape your own work. The only bad thing i have to say is the lack of time put towards this. The time spent on these discussions always seemed to short.
Fun for everyone.A vibrant up and coming city with loads to do and see.The local arts scene is coming on strong with lots of galleries , shows and local artists making it a fantastic place to study Art.There are food and drinks establishments to cater for any taste.Sun , sea and sports for anyone who wants to get out and about.
With seminars about the work place.Opportunities to work along side practicing creatives.Involvement in structured career development classes.Leading lectures in their fields, with contacts and advice regarding the workplace.
There is an abundance of support everywhere you turn. All the tutors and college staff are there for you to speak to anytimeduring the college day.You can depend on the staff to help and support your academic like and personal life if needed. It is a welcoming and friendly place.
