For students to secure a place on a postgraduate programme of study at Queen’s University Belfast, they’ll need to satisfy a number of entry requirements. These requirements will vary according to the course being applied for and the level of study, and may be academic or non-academic in nature.
For example, applicants to the MA in Irish Studies will need a 2:1 honours degree or higher, in a relevant subject in which the student had studied Ireland. Equivalent international qualifications may be considered, as well as 2:2 grade degrees where sufficient Irish study experience or relevant professional experience can be shown.
Applicants for the MSc in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages will need a 2:1 or higher honours degree, or international equivalent. Any subject is sufficient, when accompanied by evidence of at least 30 hours’ teaching experience. 2:2 level degree holders will be considered in light of 2 years’ relevant professional experience.
