The course supports students in developing their academic identity and skills in preparation for postgraduate study. Students will be exposed to and explore the scope and features of the creative and cultural industries, thereby developing academic skills, particularly in the areas of enquiry, research and communication.
Learning Methods
This is an online course taught through Campus Moodle, the university’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which offers you flexibility of where and when you can study. Campus Moodle provides you with full open access to tutors and other class members. You will have the benefit of being part of a group of learners with the invaluable opportunity to participate in active, group-related learning within a supportive online community setting.
Prospects
This course is intended as a pre-Masters course so graduates are anticipated to advance onto one of the MSc courses in the School of Creative and Cultural Business.

We welcome applications from students who have non-standard qualifications or indeed no qualifications but practical experience. Each application is individually assessed based on previous qualifications and the level of experience. Students who lack a NARIC-recognised first degree but have a qualification which is equivalent to an ordinary degree, a taught unclassified degree, or no prior experience of Higher Education will be able to join the Graduate Certificate to develop the skills and academic credits needed to successfully study a Masters level qualification at RGU.
