Working towards my MA through this programme has boosted my confidence, made me a better teacher, and helped me to expand my knowledge of dance. As a mature student, I am thrilled to have had this opportunity.
A new building is being built, so I think commenting on the facilities at the RAD would be irrelevant.
I like that my course is part-time, distance learning, which enables me to study at my own pace while working and taking care of my family. The tutors are very knowledgeable and accessible, and there is a good selection of modules to suit the individual's path. However, as it is distance learning, there is not as much opportunity to interact with fellow students because everyone is working at a different pace.
I have lived in London for 23 years and have a family. The city life is not relevant to my studies.
The RAD offers work placements and careers/further education advice.
I think the support offered by the RAD is very good, both academically and personally.
