I struggled to fit into university to begin with due to the amount of work and change in life style, but I have grown to love it a lot and I am glad I have taken the opportunity to increase my job prospects and do what I am passionate about.
They are brilliant and perfect for the needs of the course.
I like that it is both theory and practical based, therefore we are able to apply our understanding to classroom based scenarios and refine our skills. I do not appreciate the workload that comes with the course.
The uni is located in a beautiful, safe area with lovely cafes surrounding it, meaning it feels less like a city and more like a home.
There opportunities that we are presented with at the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) prepare us immensely for job prospects. We are trained academically and practically to ensure we have a good understanding of the pedagogy and expectations of teachers. We also have two placement schools we were strengthen our skills. The RAD also provides us with lectures and practical experience of interviews that increase the likeliness of getting a job.
There are huge amounts of feedback to help us improve, this is both verbal and written. The pastoral support that is available is strong and easily accessible.
