Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at Royal Agricultural University

RAU is small focussed university with a number of high calibre staff. The University needs to improve it's IT capabilities and IT support for students. read full review
Being at RAU is a great experience! I love that it is in a rural setting as this works perfectly for my Agriculture course, we are surrounded by farms making field trips easy a breeze. The staff compliment is absolutely friendly, polite, and eager to help, which makes a world of difference. The campus is a 15 minute walk to town and that's a plus as I do not own a vehicle. Coming from a different continent, however, I am yet to get used to the food! read full review
The RAU is located in a suitable environment for the courses it has to offer. The Lecturers are very knowledgeable and are invested in imparting said knowledge. The institution boasts of a very diverse student body which I am enjoying. The field visits have opened my mind to more possibilities and the support program they have available is best suited for success in various careers. read full review
Great location, the smaller size is very well suited to me and I love the community feeling. Some lecturers could be a bit more organized but overall I love the RAU. read full review
I am studying online so I have only visited the campus once during the EWN Conference. The facilities were great and everyone seemed very friendly and helpful. Online learning is a huge chunk of my PhD so it is interesting to see how this is handled at the university. All my meetings with supervisors are online - this is not always fine for getting meetings scheduled where everyone can attend. Student life - there appears to be no facility for online students to meet and participate in discussions or socials. Many of the events are physical events at the university, which can leave online / distance learners feeling a little left out. Perhaps an event that distance learners can attend once or twice a year could be offered? Like the EWEN conference that I attended. This was great for networking and meeting other students.

Regular sessions with others doing postgraduate courses online would also help. read full review

Having been at another university previously coming to the RAU has been outstanding. The support of the staff and they way they know each student personally and the ease of access to them is unlike anything I've seen at any other university. read full review
As an international student I am feeling extremely happy and lucky to becoming a part of this prestigious university in the UK.

More than an university this place feels like a home. To be precise the faculty members, fellow students are so nice and supportive.

The location and the town is so peaceful and beautiful. And this place surely deserves the name "The Heart of Cotswolds". read full review
It’s such an interesting citadel of learning and has a serene atmosphere for assimilation however, I think enough publicity and promotion should be made by the university especially in the diaspora community because as an international student, the university processes great facilities but it’s not well noised abroad. read full review
The willingness of teaching and non teaching staff to help at anytime makes RAU a great place for me.

However, shortages of some equipment in the laboratory has occasionally wasted my time. I think some equipment like milling machine should be doubled in the lab so one student would not have to wait while others are working. Thank you read full review
