About the Royal Holloway, University of London

Royal Holloway, University of London is one of the UK’s leading research-intensive universities (REF, 2014) and home to some of the world’s leading experts in the sciences, arts, business, economics and law. Our teachers and researchers change lives, expand minds and help current and future leaders understand power and responsibility. The university welcomes students and academics who travel from all over the world to study and work here, ensuring an international and multi-cultural perspective within a close-knit and historic campus. Royal Holloway was opened by Queen Victoria in 1886 and the university has its roots in two pioneering colleges for women, Royal Holloway College and Bedford College. The university is set on a 135 acre campus, which is located in Egham, Surrey, 40 minutes south west of central London and just 7 miles from Heathrow airport.
