Course Summary

This course develops your technical abilities in materials engineering as well as your managerial skills, with modules aimed at helping you advance your career. This course is accredited by the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) for the purposes of partly meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered Engineer. Graduates who have a BEng (Hons) accredited for CEng will be able to show that they have satisfied the further learning requirement for CEng accreditation.

Students need to have one from: an honours degree (2.2 or above) in a science or engineering subject; suitable professional qualifications in an engineering field; a degree in any discipline plus at least one year of relevant experience; a diploma in a technological area plus at least three years of relevant experience.
