Course Summary

The MA in History allows you to roam periods of history from the late antiquity to the renaissance, and geographies from the British Isles and France, to Italy and the Holy Land. Teaching is empowered by specialist Swansea University expertise, particularly in the areas of gender, warfare, aristocratic culture, and frontiers and borderlands.

Your study will be enhanced by the influential external connections of Swansea University. These include organisations responsible for preserving Welsh historical sites such as Cadw and the Royal Commission for the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Wales, as well as West Glamorgan Record Office and the library of Hereford Cathedral.
