Course overview

This course is designed to prepare you for playing a leading role in the growth areas of sport and exercise. It stresses the relationship between theory and its professional application, and aims to develop knowledge, skills and expertise in a range of sport and exercise disciplines.

You will be encouraged to develop your own programme of study by selecting topics within modules that have relevance to your professional, academic and personal goals. The programme is designed to allow you to focus on your discipline interest(s). You will be required to attend University one day per week (Monday) in semesters 1 and 2. Attendance in semester 3 is more flexible and is negotiated between you and your research project supervisor.

Career opportunities

Graduates go on to varied careers, including sports management, coaching, consultancy, sports science or strength and conditioning support roles and academia.
