Course Summary

This course is suitable for those wishing to expand their current skills and knowledge in working with people in a supervisory capacity. It is suitable for those wishing to incorporate new knowledge and skills, or to expand their current work role, or for those wishing to introduce or to enhance supervision within private practice. The supervision course is designed to build on skills and experience already developed by students prior to attending this course. It emphasises the ability to hold an overview of processes and people such that they can be helped to fulfill their role and task more effectively. The course is taught using both didactic and experiential methods, and emphasises the shared knowledge and experience of all participants.

Applicants should usually possess the following: a relevant qualification with an accrediting body UKCP Registered Psychotherapist, BACP accredited Counsellor / Psychotherapist, alternative demonstrable equivalent training, and two years post-qualification experience.
