Edinburgh Napier University makes study offers to prospective students that are able to satisfy the entry requirements of their chosen course. These are primarily related to previous academic qualifications, but evaluation of professional experience and portfolios of work may also be involved.
For example, students applying for the MA in Creative Writing will need to demonstrate achievement of an undergraduate honours degree with a 2:2 grade or higher. It can be in any subject, but students need to show evidence of relevant writing experience through their studies.
Applicants for the MSc in International Marketing will need an undergraduate honours degree at 2:2 level or higher. Students from any disciplinary background are welcomed. Applicants with lesser academic qualifications will be considered in light of relevant industrial experience.
Students applying for the MBA in Entrepreneurship will need to have an undergraduate honours degree at 2:2 level or above, as well as two or more years of relevant professional experience. Applicants without this level of experience but evidence of their potential to develop the required professional skills are also considered, as well as students who have significant professional experience in place of a degree.
