St. George’s is unique amongst UK universities due to its sharing of its campus site with a certified teaching hospital. As a result, students are able to learn and train in a professional medical environment throughout their studies and prepare for a successful career.

St. George’s offers a huge range of master’s courses suited to medical professionals. These range in length from one semester, such as the PgCert in Healthcare Practice, to full master’s degrees like the MSc in Global Health, the MSc in Genomic Medicine or the MSci in Occupational Therapy.
The university also offers master’s by research qualifications, such as the MRes in Clinical Research, which allows students to build research skills and develop an impactful dissertation with the guidance and support of experienced academics and medical professionals.

Admission onto a postgraduate course at St. George’s, University of London is competitive, so students will need to ensure they satisfy the entry requirements for their chosen course before they can enrol.
For example, students applying for the MSc in Global Health, Infection and Immunity need to show achievement or expected achievement of a 2:2 level or higher at undergraduate level. Applications from humanities, health and science backgrounds are encouraged. Alternative qualifications are considered on a case-by-case basis. Work experience in a global health setting is expected.
Applicants for the MRes in Biomedical Science – Antimicrobial Resistance should have or expect to have a 2:2 level or higher at undergraduate level. Applicants from a humanities, science or health background are welcomed. Applicants may be invited to interview as part of the admissions process.
Applicants to the MPAS Physician Associate Studies will need to show attainment of a 2:2 level or higher degree in a health-related or life sciences discipline. Completion of physiology modules are required for students without a life sciences or health degree.
