There are over 300 postgraduate taught programmes to choose from, where all prospective students should be able to find something that interests them.
Online taught master’s programmes typically last 2.5 years studied part time. A final assessment is usually based on a research-focused dissertation.
The majority of postgraduate diplomas take 2 years if studied part time. Certificates usually last 1 year part time.
Distance learning
The University of Glasgow’s excellent online learning opportunities provide the chance to fit studies around current commitments. Students can choose course duration between one to six years in length. Part-time options suit those who are also working full time or have family commitments.

Students can study these online programmes completely online from any location in the world.
All students need is a computer with internet access. Then they can learn and connect with tutors and other learners through the virtual learning environment. Teaching is delivered through videos, storylines, written transcripts and audio files.
The University of Glasgow’s online distance learning programmes are taught by faculty who specialise across an impressive diversity of disciplines. The programmes offer multidisciplinary insights, as departments collaborate in order to give students the fullest learning experience.
