Postgraduate
The University of Hertfordshire offers postgraduate students more than 275 taught, online and specialist courses, as well as over 90 research degrees across 19 subject areas. The university seeks to attract talented individuals while ensuring that the admissions process remains open to all those eager to pursue their studies at Hertfordshire. Clubs and societies

As a postgraduate student, there is plenty of work to do. Some students are faced with moving away from home and so it’s important to look after one’s health and wellbeing.

Taught postgraduate degrees are available to study full-time or part-time, and work is assessed through essays, presentations, reports, group work, coursework and exams. Several subjects also require a final project or dissertation. Many programmes are designed with industry partners to equip students with the skills and knowledge for professional work, and some courses offer a one-year industrial placement.
Research
There is a wide variety of research degrees, for both full-time or part-time attendance, and all degrees are overseen by the university’s research degrees board.

Distance learning
There are online degrees available at postgraduate level, which all accredit to the same standard as an on-campus qualification.
All the required study material is found on the online learning environment StudyNet, and is available 24/7, so students can study around their own schedule. All assessments take place electronically via email, Skype and StudyNet, meaning students can study anywhere in the world.
