UNIVERSITY OF ABERDEEN
Overall Rating

University of Aberdeen is a great place to study with a lot of memories to share viz; from the brilliant lecturers, great learning environment and course content.

Meanwhile, I do have some few areas to share my observations and area of concerns.

Student support (Info hub for example) shares vital information to students during term studies, which is fantastic. However, after graduation, I am not sure there is that follow up to guide the graduands in securing their dream jobs.

Secondly, more work needs to be done on career fair. This program should be organized more often and invite more companies across different industries to participate in this fair with some few direct hire.

In addition, the syllabus of my department is robust where master students are expected to be ready to go into the labor market well baked. Therefore, there is the need for more collaboration between the school and industry on current or latest technology and areas of improvement or research opportunities available in this space.

Furthermore, its well acknowledged that University of Aberdeen is well respected and known to be one of the best universities in different study areas in the world, yet there is a need to facilitate students' readiness and easy integration into the secular work environment by ensuring student are more exposed to laboratory works and industry visit (at least one visit for each course). For instance, I took 4 modules last semester, I would have been glad to participate in four scheduled industry visits.

More also, university of Aberdeen is a charitable organization which makes it special, and I also understand it requires finance to keep it running effectively. However, I will recommend that a cooperative should be set up as the law permits, where student can save in some money and can also take a loan (amount should be capped per semester or session). This is to support student cost of living during their academic year for those who have financial constraints due to unforeseen circumstance.

Finally, the university of Aberdeen has a very sound academic learning structure and well embracing environment. However, I will suggest there should be some form of refreshment within the academic year and students can relax, get refreshed and continue their academics.
This can be actualized in the form of organizing sport competition and tag it as game week where different departments will compete against another in different sports. The winner and runner ups are given a winner's cup or token etc.

This is my humble opinion.
