University of Bath

The university is bog standard good, has the basic necessity things to succeed, with a little more investment in this university it can easily surpass the likes of LSE, Warwick and Bristol.

Contrary to what the ranking is which is 1st for student satisfaction, I can tell u this ranking is a joke. Bath student union does not deserve to be 1st, as it can even a fix/replace two broken microwaves in the student union that has been left there for over a year so, don't get ur hopes up. U have the decent necessity things, but this student union is not going to benefit your lifes much I am afraid.

Lots of variety, but these clubs are not money grabbers, they all advise u to take up only 3 clubs/societies as you will not be able to commit to them all, so think wisely when choosing ur clubs.

The University Accommodation is good, but the layout of the entire accommodation is extremely stupid and bad. When choosing accommodation, avoid Wolfson Westwood and other westwood complexes as they are the worst, even grimey Eastwood is better. If you are rich, the go for Solsbury or Marlsborough, if you are not live in the city!

The 24/7 library is good, and the student union has some microwaves and seats, so can bring food and have a hot meal. The different variety of meals provided are nice, but I stress that you won't get anything decent, unless u spend about �5 for a meal, but it is really worth it. So save up before going to Uni.

The Course Material in Bath is well structured, coherent and relevant to world around us today. The Department constantly thrives to replace outdated material with new up to date material, for this I would give a 5. However, it is let down by the inconsistent level of teaching across the Economic modules, there are few brilliant lectures, but unfortunately, there are also couple of really bad ones, therefore the average of teaching is a 3, with rotten apples out it would be a 5, (because most Bath University Economic Lectures are ex-LSE teachers) lol !

Has something for everyone, not cheap but can be if you know when and where to go.

The job prospects are good, but it is all upto to you, your grades are the most important once you have the basics, no other university comes close to preparing you to these events. Bath is better than the Oxbridge because of placement because, you get there jobs after graduating since most placement students get the job in the same company, so there you go,

There is a variety of support, but it is upto you to find it, the more specific you are the greater there help can be. But you will always find a solution to your problem, but that doesn;t mean it will be the one you will like.
