UNIVERSITY OF BIRMINGHAM
Overall Rating

Despite the city itself not being the nicest of places to live, the actual university itself is brilliant and I would definitely recommend it highly.

Student Union

Clubs and Societies

Massive range covering pretty much any interest or hobby.

Accommodation

Good choice of accommodation to cater for all price ranges. I know in Birmingham I pay almost half what friends at other big city universities do. All at a reasonable standard and within a decent distance of the university.

Uni Facilities

No complaints, everything you could need is there.

Course and Lecturers

Great lecturers who give their all at teaching and offer loads of support. There is a lot covered though and some modules, such as Jurisprudence (which is not required for a qualifying law degree), seemed like added stress on top of an already stressful and time consuming course.

City Life

Loads to do in Birmingham, both during the daytime and an amazing nightlife. However, never really felt safe in Birmingham as a city. Crime is obviously an issue in any urban area but seems particularly bad in Birmingham. During my three year course I have been mugged twice. Not a great impression of the city.

Job Prospects

Careers advice is easy to come by and lots of support on career prospects given.
