The University of Bolton dates back to 1825 and has a long and distinguished history of providing quality education. Situated on a modern campus in the centre of Bolton, the University is home to 11,000 students who are very happy with their experience, proved by their number one ranking for student satisfaction in Greater Manchester in the Complete University Guide 2019.

The university is split into nine faculties:

  • School of Engineering
  • School of Law
  • School of Sport and Biological Sciences

Bolton has strong links to industry, working with companies like The NHS, The Ministry of Defence and Bolton’s Borough Council. Many of their postgraduate courses are professionally accredited by organisations such as The Chartered Institute of Building and the British Psychological Society.

The University has invested heavily in its campus in recent years, including a £31million leisure and retail centre and a brand-new STEM education centre.
