Postgraduate Reviews of Courses at University of Brighton

Well supported by the academic staff not just from our course but over PGCE staff. Always help with academic writing for those who struggle. Lecturers will be no stranger and you will create great bonds with them, where you can go to them about anything. read full review
- The best aspect of my Uni is the students support, my university support very well all students especially the ones with learning difficulties. our disability and dyslexia team works hard to support student, plus they offer free counselling sessions for student struggling with mental health and all related issues. also as a student from BAME background I felt so welcomed and supported throughout my course. my tutors are lovely never felt left out. i am dyslexic and the university put a learning support in place for me to help me to achieve a good learning experience.
- the worst is the location my campus is in Eastbourne and as someone who live in Brighton i have to commit to go to uni which is okay however, the campus is very far from the train station and makes it hard to access it. also the campus is located in residential areas with many separated building which takes long get to a different old building and doesn't feel like being at university at some point.

UNIVERSITY OF BRIGHTON

Molly - February 2023

Brighton is a fantastic place to be studying, the city itself has so much energy and diversity, everyone on my course is so lovely! The lecturers and technical staff are really inspiring and have a great depth of knowledge on the practical, technical and theoretical aspects of the course, I never feel bored or dread going to uni, I really enjoy the classes. I feel it’s a very safe space to be creative and to be surrounded by other people who are passionate about the work they are creating, my peers also help me challenge my own visions which helps me to keep improving and strengthening my projects and feel supported by students and lecturers which is very beneficial.

I’ve also helped out at student evenings which is a really cool opportunity to connect with others and put myself in a leadership position and show the potential students the facilities we have here :)

Brighton is the best place to be!

Wide range of different people- diverse which helps bond with different people.

Great support!

Maybe have an independent study room- each person has a desk. Maybe some lockers you can leave your things read full review
As a mature student who is studying part-time, the location close to home and work makes this a convienent choice. My cohort of students are all also mature students. Although there are similarities, I have enjoyed learning about their different areas of clinical expertise. The course tutors are supportive and want to help you along. read full review
Located at one of the best places for students to study and work at the same time. One of the best faculty and student support team in England.

Could be a bit modernized in terms of facilities and commute to and fro university can be tiresome. read full review
The best thing is the location, near to the city center.
The worst thing is sometimes the lectures are not explained well. read full review
