MSc Education (Policy and International Development)

UNIVERSITY OF BRISTOL
Overall Rating

My university experience at my university will be beneficial for my future career. I could use new knowledge and academic skills gained during my study to develop the education system in my home country.

Student Union

I think my university Students' Union works well and gives a lot of opportunities for students to develop their skills within the student representation. All the students may participate in university life to contribute in it. There are enough facilities such as libraries, study rooms, common rooms for students.

Clubs and Societies

The university offers different types of sports and societies students need. I am satisfied with them.

Uni Facilities

There are many facilities for studying available for students. Every school has its own library and study rooms.

Course and Lecturers

The way how courses are taught depends on teacher's own skills and knowledge. The programme or a curriculum can be perfect itself but how teachers teach it can be different. Generally, the way to teach courses at University of Bristol is good. However, I think it should be organised more additional classes on development of academic writing and critical thinking, namely on preparation for writing assignments.

City Life

My university is located in a city centre which is convenient to get to my accommodation and any local amenities.

Job Prospects

There is a career service centre at university that supports any student wishing to work or volunteer. They help us with making a good CV and to look for jobs properly.

Student Support

Academic tutors allocated by the school can be useful. However, in my case this is not useful for me. Perhaps, it is an individual case, but my tutor cannot help me when I ask her. I had just one meeting with my tutor and realised that she does not care about me and my study at all because she is very busy.
