Law is a fast-changing and increasingly complex area impacting on most aspects of professional, commercial and regulatory work. You also don’t need a legal background to study our LLM Law.

Modules

The dissertation module provides you with advanced skills required to undertake an extended programme of research. You will cover practical skills (such as project planning and management) and theoretical skills (such as applying conceptual models). You will be informed of a range of different research methodologies and you will be able to assess the appropriateness of particular methodologies for your proposed dissertation topic. You will put into practical effect the research skills acquired during the course and to work in a self-defined field with the objective of producing a substantial piece of work based on critical evaluation and independent thought. You will have the opportunity to carry out extended research on a subject of interest to you, and show your ability to work independently and at a high quality level, on a substantial project.
